Scam awareness
Be cautious of guaranteed contracts, urgent payments, requests for passwords and pressure to move off-platform. Verify the counterparty independently and get written terms. A badge describes a particular check, not a promise of safety. For immediate danger contact emergency services; Apex reports are not an emergency response service.

Verified organisations
Registration is not verification. Apex reviews specific evidence before displaying a named, time-limited check. Organisation checks include the organisation itself and the applicant’s authority to represent it.

Controlled messaging
Relevant verification is required before professionals request contact. Only a connection you accept opens a conversation. Declined requests cannot be repeatedly reopened.

Athlete privacy
Choose who can see your profile and which types of requests you accept. Your date of birth and verification documents stay private. Map discovery uses city or region positions, never residential coordinates.

Blocking and reporting
Block unwanted contact or report an account, organisation, message or conversation. Blocking stops further messages and requests. Past evidence remains available to authorised reviewers. Safeguarding concerns have a restricted review process.

Safe opportunities
Never send money to access an opportunity. Check who you are speaking with, keep early conversations on Apex and never share passwords or banking login details. Report requests for suspicious fees, documents or urgent off-platform contact.

Age policy
YOUTH ATHLETE PROTECTION: Protected youth enrolment is not open. The 13–17 model requires verified guardian relationships, high privacy defaults and appropriately verified professional approaches. Private adult-to-youth messaging is prohibited: approved conversations must include a guardian. Youth and guardians can block and report concerns; exact birth dates and guardian contact details are private. Legal and safeguarding review is required before activation.

Each badge explains the specific check performed. Verification does not guarantee future behaviour or commercial outcomes. Checks can expire, be suspended or require another review.
